A piano-top, shining in the afternoon sunlight becomes the presentation space for the bridal shoes, bouquet and the wedding rings.
The sun was shining bright today for the wedding of Rachel & Tyler, in Jackson, Mississippi. I was looking for a place to get one of my "must have" compositions at any wedding. This tableau of shoes, flowers and rings in some combination is currently traditional in this part of the world.
When I saw the sunlight on the top of the piano, I knew where to set up.
Rachel & Tyler have been together for a few short years. They fell in love and made the leap of faith to commit to marriage. The beginning of their life together was a public witnessing of their love and blessing by their family and friends.
Throughout the day, I noticed the little touches, looks and gentle ways that they had of showing that they fell in love all over again today.
As Marlene Dietrich sang:
Falling in love again
Never wanted to
What am I to do?
Can’t help it.
These two wanted to, and did again today. They couldn’t help it, and love it.
